VIDEO-SOURCED GUIDE

Elemental all-rounder

Beginner

Star-Lord is a straightforward all-rounder with a strong projectile, practical lows and overheads, four Element Blast variants, and flexible air movement that works with the game's universal combo structure.

Starter game plan

  1. Establish Blaster Shot or an Element Blast, then follow the projectile instead of dashing into an unoccupied lane.
  2. At close range, rotate the advancing lows with Rocket Step's overhead threat and confirm either side into a simple assist route.
  3. Use Multi-Dash as a retreat as well as an approach, calling an assist while changing height to reset the screen safely.

Key tools

Element Blast

Switches among Lightning, Fire, Ice, and Earth effects, giving Star-Lord answers for different ranges and combo states.

Blaster Shot

A dependable projectile that can anchor neutral and give Star-Lord time to advance behind coverage.

Gravity Mine

The heavy version pulls the opponent inward, creating side-switch and corner-steal setup potential.

Multi-Dash / Free Flight

Adds eight-way movement and retreating air routes; combine it with assists instead of always flying forward.

Lab note: The overhead is visually slower than Star-Lord's lows and may become reactable against prepared defenders. Build offense around projectile and assist coverage rather than relying on the overhead alone.
