VIDEO-SOURCED GUIDE

Armored power brawler

Beginner

Hulk uses armored Skills and high-damage wall routes to punish hesitation. Gamma Spark builds toward Gamma Rage, which improves his armor coverage and upgrades the reward from key Supers and Ultimates.

Starter game plan

  1. Build Gamma Level safely with Gamma Spark, including inside confirmed routes rather than charging recklessly in neutral.
  2. When Gamma Rage activates, cash out with the enhanced Rampage or use the stronger armor to force a close-range decision.
  3. Use Violent Charge near a wall to secure a stage transition or wall splat, then continue damage or take a fixed wake-up setup.

Key tools

Gamma Spark

The third activation reaches Gamma Rage in the cited release guide; the state strengthens armor and character-specific Super effects.

Held Heavy

Gains armor in Gamma Rage and can become unblockable when the opponent is not already held in blockstun.

Thunder Clap

The strike and shockwave destroy projectiles; aerial versions alter the approach angle and can extend combos.

Skull Crush

A strong armored anti-air with limited horizontal coverage—use it when the opponent is nearly above Hulk.

Lab note: Armor is not invincibility. Throws and stronger invincible attacks remain answers, and low attacks beat standard armor before Gamma Rage according to the launch guide.
