Motion diagrams follow the character's facing direction. Button colors remain consistent across the full roster; “Variant” rows inherit the parent move's input.
Long-range neutral and consistent conversion
Blade threatens nearly every range with long normals, Bullet Barrage, and Heart Stopper. He lacks a built-in high-low mix-up, but converts stray hits into reliable carry without depending heavily on meter or assists.
Starter game plan
- Win space with standing Medium, standing Heavy, or Bullet Barrage, then cancel a confirmed Skill into Heart Stopper to follow the opponent.
- Use the Heart Stopper hit or Daywalker Deflect to activate Marked for Death before spending the enhanced Vampire Cleave in a combo.
- If the opponent simply blocks, use Glaive Strike plus a tag or assist to create team pressure instead of forcing a weak solo mix-up.
Key tools
A limited tracking projectile and follow-up resource that enables conversions and marks Blade's next Skill for enhancement.
A traditional counter that also activates Marked for Death when it succeeds.
Controls ground and air lanes; medium and enhanced versions can convert naturally into Heart Stopper.
A long-active chakram that pins the opponent for a teammate's entry or extended block pressure.
Lab note: Following a blocked Heart Stopper without assist cover is punishable in the cited launch guide. Track the three starting uses and recharge only behind space or team coverage.
