Combo-source note: The Sikshot breakdown is a creator's launch-window route guide. Use it as a structure lesson, not a promise that every route remains optimal after balance changes.
Loki's reusable filler has a clear middle
The cited mid-screen BnB begins by reaching Medium β crouching Medium β Heavy, then jump-canceling into an aerial Heavy and forward Heavy. The route can be entered from several starters; what matters is learning the shared middle and the timing after the aerial Fenris Fang/Jotun Mist section.
Start with the no-meter route. It teaches the jump-cancel height, the assist-free landing, and the wall position without adding a second resource. Once it is stable, add an assist or super at the point where the opponent is already held in the route.
Use the wall and freeze to buy the next decision
The breakdown uses a wall splat or stage transition, then crouching Norn Stone to freeze the opponent before another down-Heavy and air filler. The exact route changes when the opponent is in the middle of the stage versus at the end of a wall, so record both situations separately.
The freeze is valuable because it gives Loki time to finish the route and arrive with advantage for oki. Do not spend it on a second flashy extension if the opponent will be pushed away from the wall; a shorter frozen ender can create the stronger next interaction.
Add Assist Rush only after the base route works
The creator's assist route inserts an assist after an aerial attack, then uses Loki's ice projectile and down-Heavy to keep the opponent close. The route is useful for wall carry and damage, but the timing is not a universal auto-combo.
Practice in this order:
- Land the no-assist BnB from both sides.
- Add one Assist Rush call and confirm the opponent stays in front of Loki.
- Reverse the team order and retest the same call.
- Only then add a second assist or a wall-specific extension.
Choose between oki, super, and the round
Loki can end a route with frame advantage, a stage transition, or a super. The source shows versions with no meter, one assist, a Super Skill, and a Level 3-style cash-out. The correct choice depends on health, wall position, and whether the opponent's next character is already unlocked.
Use the following decision rule:
- Need the round: spend the super after confirming the route will kill.
- Need the corner: keep the wall and freeze rather than sending the opponent through the next stage.
- Need pressure: end with the route that leaves Loki close enough to apply Norn Stone or a safe normal.
Loki combo timing drills
- Practice the jump-cancel Heavy β forward Heavy filler until it works at two heights.
- Record the landing timing after Fenris Fang/Jotun Mist; early inputs become the wrong Skill.
- Drill crouching Norn Stone immediately after the wall interaction, then delay it by one beat.
- Test manual inputs against the Quick Skill shortcut and keep the version that is consistent for you.
- Check the stage-transition version separately from the true corner version.
