VIDEO-SOURCED GUIDE

Necrosis setup and long-range pressure

Intermediate

Carnage applies Necrosis, confirms a Skill, then detonates Parasite Bomb to extend pressure or combos. His long limbs control mid-range, but their extended hurtboxes can be challenged by patient zoning and whiff punishes.

Starter game plan

  1. Apply Necrosis with Parasite Fang before spending the next opening; the status changes the payoff from Carnage's Skills.
  2. After a Skill connects, trigger Parasite Bomb with Unique and cancel the detonation into another Skill to continue the sequence.
  3. Pair Carnage with a shooting or assault assist that helps him cross projectile space and stabilize close-range pressure.

Key tools

Vicious Skewer

Controls mid-to-long range and changes the pull or launch behavior when Necrosis is active.

Sadistic Scythe

A primary anti-air beside crouching Heavy; Necrosis increases the conversion threat.

Mutilate / Dismember

Wall-transition and wall-splat tools with different grounded and aerial routing.

Guillotine Axe

A chargeable armored overhead that supports pressure, launches, and assist extensions.

Lab note: Carnage's extended limbs carry hurtboxes, so careless long pokes can be whiff-punished. The cited guide also identifies projectile-heavy teams and sticky rushdown as difficult situations.
